Sunny January days with hub and bub have their perks.

We are a happy family.

Last night Alex and I spent over an hour on the floor looking through all our photo albums and reminiscing.  

We were picking out favorite pictures, this is one of them.  

It was taken in Phuket, Thailand and to me it embodies everything about that summer; adventure ripe for the picking, the hot sun and sand, salt water caked lips coupled with sweet tangy pineapple, and an overwhelming happiness- with life, with the moment, with each other.

I think about those people in that picture. We are the same but have come a long way since then, and so are different.  

It is strange to admire your past selves but I think we do.  Looking through those albums was a good reminder of who we are, what makes up the true substance of life, and who we want to become.
